Meet our General Manager, Paige McDaniels. It's a sweet experience having someone who knows this place like the back of her hand. Paige has grown up here on the campground and spent almost 10 years in the work force with us working jobs such as housekeeping, front desk, activities director and events coordinator, assistant manager, and now our GM. She has experienced the time of her life here and now we are thrilled to have her lead our staff. Here's a small survey on some questions that we asked Paige. What prepared you for this? “Some of the best times of my life were spent here on this same turf. I wasn't prepared, I was ambitious about the place. I saw it all as a baby all the way through my teens, and now as a young adult. I don't think I was ever prepared, I was just enthusiastic about the opportunity to be here. It has given me the ability to grow and learn the place as a kid and watch it progress as a young adult. Becoming General Manager of Myrtle Beach KOA Resort is a dream come true. I am passionate about the campground, the hospitality, the experience, the laughs, the memories; they are all huge factors in what we bring to the table. It's a family, and I love family.” What is your favorite memory working here? “I was running a crabbing activity with a little boy and he caught his first crab. I came by the swash later that evening and he had popped a tent beside it. He told me he never wanted to leave so he was going to sleep beside it and catch crabs ALL NIGHT LONG!! I laughed hysterically and he spent almost his entire vacation crabbing. It brought back such nostalgia because I was his age and loved fishing in the exact same swash.” Paige attended Coastal Carolina University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Paige's hobbies include coaching sports, spending time with her family and little girl, enjoying the beach, riding boats, and making campers happy.
